Context.

“In times like these.” It’s all consumers heard during the first wave of the pandemic. But as the world opened up, advertising suddenly became a little less dour. Meanwhile, online shopping experiences were popping up where they weren’t before, keeping pace with people’s increased appetite for retail therapy.

For our client, Nissan Canada, there was a pressing need to streamline existing online shopping tools. Since buying a car online isn’t yet the norm, we needed to create a direct path to purchasing or leasing through the dealer. Whatever we did, it had to enable people at the outset of their research, as well as those ready to buy.

Opportunity.

By this point, most car brands had reorganized their shopping tools to be in one place. But very few had actually streamlined them, or worked them into a flow that addressed different needs. We could be ahead of the pack.

Insight.

Car shoppers are often looking to take a specific step. But they aren’t always aware of what happens next.

Idea.

We created an online shopping experience that addressed users’ individual needs, while ushering them into a more linear flow. It streamlined all our tools, presenting them in a way the average buyer could scan and digest. Tonally, it was simple, guided and human. The language called out each step in the journey, while directing consumers to what came next. It all laddered back to the line, Shop at your own pace.
